Gwynn Park High School STEM Fair - New Guidelines for Next School Year
In an effort to cultivate science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) literate citizens, all science students will participate in the STEM Fair process. The activities will be completed by grade level. This will produce high-quality projects that students should be proud to present and provide each student with an opportunity to conduct independent research. Top scoring projects will be invited to participate in the regional competition.
9th graders: Students will prepare and propose a research plan.
10th graders: Students will conduct an approved research project.
11th graders: Students will present their research at the school’s STEM Fair.
12th graders: Students will judge projects through a peer-review process.
Congratulations to the Class of 2021!!! Great job!! We are proud of you!!!
Our seniors received over 3 million dollars in scholarships. We have several seniors who will play sports at the collegiate level. In addition, we are proud of our seniors who have decided to join the military and serve our country.
Dual Enrollment
We are excited to begin our third year of the "Dual in the Schools" program. We are one of a few selected high schools in our district afforded the opportunity to offer FREE college courses during the school day. Students have an opportunity to earn high school and college credit for college courses that they take during the regular school day. We will offer English 1010 and College Biology in the fall.
NEW Dual Enrollment Guidelines
Current 10th and 11thgrade students have an opportunity to qualify for spring semester courses. In order to qualify you must have one of the following:
- Cumulative unweighted 3.0 GPA
- 2.5 cumulative unweighted GPA and a qualifying score on the Accuplacer, SAT, or ACT. The Accuplacer will be given to students in the fall. You can study for the test.
