Harborview Express
February 19-25. 2023
Message From Mrs. Harvey
It was so nice seeing you all!
Thank you for taking the time to come in and meet with your child's teacher. It is hard to believe that was the last conferences of the year. The end of the trimester is March 3rd and report cards will be sent home at that time. As always, if you ever questions or concerns please reach out to your child's teacher.
Thursday is Family Math Night!!
5:00-7:00 at Harborview School
We hope to see you all this Thursday, February 23rd for a night of fun math games. We will have games out for you to play with adults to help if you have any questions. These are all games that can be played using dice or cards. All games are great ways to practice basic math skills with your child and build their math fluency. Everyone will leave with all the materials and directions they need to keep playing games at home.
See you Thursday!
School Climate and Connectedness Survey for families
Please take a few minutes to complete the School Climate and Connectedness Survey for families. We want to know what you think about your child's school. Your input, along with students and staff members, will help us to identify what we are doing well and what we need to work on. Please do your best to answer truthfully. You do not have to answer any question you do not want to answer, but we hope you will answer as many as you can.

Oral Language Development Tip of the Week!
Easy things you can do to help develop your child's oral language skills
Go on a nature walk. What do you see? What do you hear? Use adjectives and verbs to tell about it.
Run errands with your child. Talk about community helpers and places in your community. Use "who" and "where" expressions. Sequence your errands ("first we will drop off our mail at the post office, then we'll drive to the bank." Who works at the post office?")
Pick Up and Drop Off Safety Reminders!
We Appreciate Your Support!
This is just another gentle reminder to please stay in your vehicle when coming to pick up your child. Ms. Averyl is out there at the end of the day to help direct trafiic and we try to keep a lane open as much as possible so you can leave when you get your child. We need to be able to ask you to pull forward or to the side and if you are in your car that can be done much faster. If you like to stand and wait for your child, please park and then walk over.
We appreciate your help in keeping all of our students safe.
