Classroom News!
It was wonderful to see most of you at Back to School Night. We enjoyed giving you a "peek" into our rich and varied classroom program. We continued our study of Ocean Life and read a non fiction book about Seahorses by Jennifer Curtis, who actually visited us on Wednesday! We also read, Mr. Seahorse by Eric Carle, a beautifully illustrated fiction book. The children created a class book called "Under the Sea Camouflage" using transparency papers and permanent markers. In Math we continued to review the concept of patterns and learned about sorting by attributes.

Poem of the week: "The Whale" by Douglas Florian
Big as a street -
With fins, not feet -
I'm full of blubber
With skin like rubber.
When I breathe out
