Runnin' WJ Ranch Horseshoe Review

Cowboy Church Training

On July 9-10, the Ranch hosted a group from area Cowboy Churches. Former Head Instructor, Joan Cutler, offered the training during the two day workshop.

We are blessed to help our brothers and sisters in Christ further the ministry of therapeutic riding!

July Fundraisers

We want to thank the Gateway Tire and Service ArkLaTex locations, Yokahama Tires and the Quad State Derby Dames for giving back to the Ranch in July!

Gateway and Yokahama donated $3 to the Ranch from every oil change on Tuesdays during the month and Quad State Derby Dames raised money for the Ranch at their July 19 Bout.

We appreciate both organizations for giving back to their communities and loving our kids!

Classes and Volunteer Training

The 2015-2016 Riding Season will begin before we know it! We hope to begin later in September with New Volunteer Training later in August and early September.

Please spread the word, invite your friends and be on the lookout for the training dates!

Also, parents and teachers, please help us get student paperwork in as soon as possible so we will be ready to ride!

Flashback Photo

This is a picture from the beginning of the 2013-2014 riding season-Joshua Kidd riding Rascal with his volunteer, Shannon, leading. Josh has been working with us over the summer through the Arkansas Promise Program. We've enjoyed Josh's help and having him around the Ranch!

Servant Hearts

Connor Williams, aspiring Eagle Scout, came to assist the Ranch in a project that will benefit the Instructors, Ms. Narda and the Barn Managers. Connor installed a monitor system in the tack room that will communicate with our computers in the office. The TV monitor will display the tack sheet and riding schedule and will be editable by the instructors. This will improve our communication tremendously between the barn and the office and will also make scheduling horses for our classes so much more efficient! Thank you, Connor, for your contribution to the Ranch!

First Baptist Texarkana came to the Ranch on Thursday, July 16, to help with various service projects. We sure appreciate this group and all the work they completed to help us! Thank you, Mike Beck, and all who came to participate!

The Body of Christ

Mary Lynn Patterson, Director of Public Relations and Development (and the voice behind these email newsletters), will be leaving the Ranch this Friday, July 31. Mary Lynn has accepted a new position with Four States Living Magazine where she has been a Contributing Writer for the last three years.

"I will miss all the faces of the Ranch and especially the students, staff and friendly volunteers. I am grateful to Sam, Telka, Mandy, Joan, Narda, Brittany, Shelly, Karen, Katrena, Mack, Ron, Mondo, Selene, Ken, Aaron, Kadie, Carol, Collin and all the volunteers and the kids for welcoming me into the Ranch family and for the many memories I've made over the three 1/2 years I've been here...mostly of the smiles and laughter of the kids. Thank you!"
