Projects
September was a busy month! I was excited to meet so many of you and to work on some fun projects. The "speed booking" adventure helped some reluctant readers find a good book match a number of classes have been working on research. It was also great to work with a few of you one-on-one to develop projects and share resources. I look forward to more of these opportunities.
If you have a section of freshman study and you haven't booked time for a library orientation, let me know!
New Resources
We have ordered a number of magazines which I hope you will find useful and enjoyable. Check out our professional materials display by the library copier for some new ideas - this month's focus is social studies! As always, please let me know if you have any suggestions for books, DVDs, or other materials.
Want to Know More?
I had some interesting conversations with a few of you recently about copyright concerns. I found "The Educator's Guide to Copyright and Fair Use" from Education World to be very helpful. Part 2 is especially great for materials teachers use in the classroom and part 4 is useful in understanding these issues as it pertains to technology. Click here for a great chart from Technology and Learning that is useful for quick reference.
