Future Author

This 2nd grader dropped by the library to share his graphic novel with the library patrons. However, he has a plan. He made a "demo" book to grab readers attention, then writes to be on the look out for the full version, which is to come at a later time.

His future looks bright.

The Force is strong in you, young Padawans...

Though the Force has been busy battling the evil Malware Virus, these young students have not gone unnoticed. Students were observed and nominated for exhibiting the following Jedi Knight traits: calm, responsible, patient, humble, thoughtful, mindful of others, in control of themselves, and works hard to improve themselves.

Below are the lists of students presented to the committee, and we congratulate them for their outstanding character and citizenship. However, only one from each month are ready to take on Jedi Knight status. Don't give up young Padawan's - for you may be ready next time.

November Nominations:

Aaliyah Riewe

Kendra Benavides

Onasis Mendez

Kendra Tovar

Brody Michalik

Skyla Thorsen

December Nominations:

Lola Finch

Krista Hutka

Carson Thorsen

Melaine Miller

The winners are: Brody Michalik and Lola Finch. Thank you for being you!

Remember all Padawans, Jedi Masters are watching for the next Knights!

From the desk of Coach Brosch...

The Varsity Boys Basketball team brought home 2nd place in the Moody Boys Basketball Invitational. Senior, Jacob Peoples, shared Tournament MVP, and the Lions improved too 3-1 with a win over Cameron in their final tournament game. Hats off too the boys who fought hard throughout the tournament and represented Granger very well!

Thanks for the support & Go Lions!

Coach Brosch

Progress reports will be mailed out next Mon., Dec. 11, 2017.

Setting a Good example

Have you noticed students standing at the door in the mornings, holding it open for those coming in, while giving a cheerful welcome? The site can perk up a tired soul and set the day off on the right foot. Next time you walk through, greet the greeters from Student Council and let them know they are appreciated. Kindness doesn't need to be random act, it can be a habit.
