Animal Research and Reports
We will begin the research portion of our animal unit starting on Monday. Students will need to have selected an animal they are interested learning more about. Please help guide them with their selection and have them be prepared to share with their teacher Monday morning.
Research Writing Timeline:
January 11-22nd Students will have time in class to research and take notes on the animal of their choice. They will also be working on writing their star sentences using the notes they have taken. Work will come home each evening, so that you are able to see their progress.
Presentation:
A presentation of your child’s choice needs to be created at home; using the information and writing they find in class.
Choices could include: poster, diorama, brochure, slide show, written report, dress-up/oral presentation or any other ways in which they choose to be creative. These are due January 29th.
