DRAWING TABLETS DELIVER BIG SMILES
Students in Mrs. Evans' Animation class received 20 Wacom Intuous Touch Screen drawing tablets to use while sketching in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Flash as well as in Maya 3D. The investment in drawing tablets helps students draw more easily, ergonomically and much more quickly than using a mouse.
A graphics tablet is a computer peripheral device that allows for a relatively simple method of inputting hand-drawn graphics or art into a computer in real time.
The students have been sharing 4 tablets that were purchased through a Carl Perkins Grant. The students were super excited to each have a drawing tablet instead of sharing. Mrs. Evans stated that she has witnessed their engagement increase and their skill set improve. This technology helps our students gain skills used at post secondary and within the industry.
