Once you know the basics of Google Apps, there is so much more to learn! Join us for a session sharing some added features that are available in Google Docs, Google presentations, and Google spreadsheets.
Google Apps Add Ons Tues. Jan 13th
Now there is so much more you can do with a Google doc or a spreadsheet than ever before.! Join us for a session to learn about third party add ons- which provide tools to extend the capabilities of a doc or spreadsheet. Tools will include bibliography/citation generator, Word Cloud generator, mind mapping, voice commenting, and others.

Now that you have your student logins for Discovery Education, find out how you can use a variety of the assignment, project, and assessment tools . Make sure you bring your login information as well.
Building and Sharing a Community of Elementary Readers Wed. Jan 28th
With technology, students are able to learn about new books as well as share recommendations with others to help them grow as readers. This class will explore Bilblionasium, a great interactive online reading community for elementary readers. Build reading logs, manage reading levels, as well as create literature circles for meaningful and interactive dialogue in this wonderful site. Join us as we explore all the features of Biblionasium. Edmodo is an easy to use learning management tool that enables classrooms to have a collaborative space where they can In this session you will create an account, set up your profile and group, as well as learn how to post messages, websites and videos. We will also explore Edmodo communities that share invaluable resources to get rolling with Edmodo in your classroom. Take a look at the video below to learn more!

Now that you know the basics of Edmodo, take it a few steps further by learning about building/grading assignments, creating/grading assessments, as wellthe new snapshot tool that gives you a snapshot of students learning in ELA and Math according to the Common Core Standards
Building Student Portfolios Wed. Feb. 18th
As students create and share using a variety of online tools, see how you can capture those learning opportunities by building student portfolios. We will look at a few examples and introduce a couple of tools that will help you get started.
Edmodo Advanced Thursday Feb. 26th
Now that you have made Edmodo a regular part of your classroom, take a look at some great added features that are too good to pass up! This session will share wonderful apps within Edmodo, how to add rss feeds to share content, as well as a few other tips and tricks to make the best use of your Edmodo library.
Do They Really Get It? Wed. March 4th
Your students nod their heads when you ask them a question but do they really "get it"? Come learn about free web tools like Socrative and Kahoot that you can use to see what your students really understand.
