Yes, when you step outside of your point of view and view the situation in other people's perspective your art will inspire others and that is great art. Knowledge is needed also it helps you understand.

Empathy is the ability to understand and share the feeling of another. Showing empathy involves seeing things from another person's perspective so that you can understand and relate to his or her feelings.
