There is no school tomorrow, Friday 4/1 (unused snow make-up day), and Spring Break is next week 4/4-4/8. We hope everyone enjoys their time off from school, and wish safe travels for those of you heading out of town. We will see you back at school on Monday 4/11.

Attention 3rd, 4th, & 5th Grade Parents!

A letter regarding the Georgia Milestones End of Grade Assessment went home with your student(s) this afternoon. Please be sure to read this important information. Also, in order to ensure that the students get their day off to a great start, breakfast will be provided free of charge to all 3rd, 4th, & 5th grade students on testing days (see schedule below).

Important Survey-Please Read!

Parents,


The parent CCRPI climate surveys for the 2015-2016 school year are officially open. These survey results are used in the STAR rating calculations. Non participation or low participation could adversely affect our STAR Climate Rating. A growing body of research indicates that schools with positive school climate ratings have better test scores and higher graduation rates. School climate refers to the quality and character of school life. The first step to improving school climate is to measure and analyze it with a school climate survey instrument. We need your help and want to hear from you. Please take a few minutes to complete the survey in order to let us know how we are doing so we can plan and adjust accordingly. Your voice is important!

Bear Reader Update:

Quick reminder before Spring Break: We are approaching the end of the year. The next reader log collection is due on Friday, 4/15. This will be for the last Pizza Hut Book IT! Coupons and will count towards the end of year prizes! There are some serious competitions going on between students to earn the right to slime Mr. Difilippo and some teachers who have risen to the challenge as well. Ms. Langford has been communicating standings between classes and students to turn up the heat and the raffle ticket hours required (see below).


Any student turning-in time will receive a token prize. Those meeting the hour thresholds below by grade will receive the indicated number of tickets for the end of year raffle (prizes include 3 Kindle Fire 7", an autographed Atlanta Braves Baseball, and Georgia laptop bags with more to come).

Mountain View Golf Tourney - April 18th!

Hello MV Families!

All football programs in the Mountain View cluster (ages 6 through Varsity) have teamed up to bring you our 3rd Annual Mountain View Football “Golf Tourney” on April 18th at Legacy on Lanier Golf Course.


This is a great opportunity to meet the coaches and parents from both MVHS Football and MVAA Football while also supporting all of our players in a fun way!


We will have a "HELICOPTER BALL DROP" at the Golf Tourney to give away a WEEK-LONG BEACH-FRONT CONDO VACATION in PANAMA CITY, FLA!
