Classroom Activities for March!

March is Reading Month! Celebrate & Advocate!

Here are some fun ways to incorporate technology in the classroom as you celebrate National Reading Month.

  1. Create a Book Cover. Have students digitally create a book cover. The project ideas could be adapted for a variety of activities. Book report, autobiographies, author's purpose activity, fiction vs. nonfiction activity.
  2. Add Color-Coding Informational Text Passages. Have students to digitally color-code answers for daily quick-reads.
  3. Incorporate Digital Literacy Choice Boards. Use digital choice boards with lots of literacy options.
  4. Use Mystery Pictures. Students read informational text passages on different topics. Each topic has a picture related to it that is scrambled. Students must answer comprehension questions in order to solve the mystery picture.
