The Great Depression
How We Fought It.
The Great Depression
The Great Depression happened when the stock market crashed on October, 1929. We now call it Black Tuesday. The market lost 30 billion dollars at the end of the first week. Many men and women lost their jobs ,and some men left their families behind because he couldn't make money to help the children. This is how it was for 12 years until World War Two started and jobless men joined the army.
Similarities
People lose their money the same way today as they did in the Great Depression. For example ,people lose their money because they forget to pay taxes. Another reason is because the stock market can crash. In the picture below it shows that today is actually worse than in the Great Depression. People also lose their job because the business can't pay them.
The Great Depression is like today when it comes to money loss.
