Grandfriend's Day is Friday, Oct. 12 during Applefest weekend! Help your child invite a grandparent or another special adult friend to attend with him/her. Typically, the special friend arrives a half hour before the designated lunch time and goes to the child's classroom. They will go together to the cafeteria and, if the adult chooses, can go to the playground for recess. Some grandparents/friends will take the student(s) home for the afternoon or downtown to enjoy Applefest together. If that is the case, a form MUST be turned in PRIOR TO Oct. 12 giving permission for said adult to sign out the student from school. No student will be allowed to leave the building without PRIOR written consent from their parent/guardian.
Miss Frank is accepting donations of gently used children's books (birth through middle school). On Grandfriend's Day (October 12) there will be a book sale in the school library. Proceeds will go to purchasing new books for the library.
