December 2016
A Message from Mr. Hatfield
Dear College Hills Parents & Guardians,
It's hard to believe that the fall semester is almost complete. During this exciting time of the year we have several fun activities to finish out the semester, like Polar Express, Spelling Bee and the Food drive, that will end on the 6th. To keep up with everything at College Hills check out our school webpage, Facebook and Twitter. CHE, Changing Lives, Changing the World one child at a time.

TEACHING GIVING AT COLLEGE HILLS
Our staff's giving tree displays items that are needed for a child at CHE. Monday, Dec 5. is the due date for adopted items and they should be delivered to the front office unwrapped and labeled with the student's number.
There is still time to help! Parents are also welcome to simply offer a cash donation to help fill gaps or supply any un-adopted gifts.
College Hills participates in KBTX's food drive and that is going on now until Tues 12/6. Food, cash and other non-perishable supplies are very appereciated.
Chrissy's closet is in need of shoes (new or gently used) of all sizes. Donations accepted at CHE.
Also, the Books and a Blanket program is a nonprofit started by CHE siblings that benefits local children each Christmas. Please consider dropping off new and gently used books in the front office. This collection bin is available year round so feel free to share books at any time that is convenient.
Thank you, CHE, for Paws to the Pavement!
Be thinking about yearbooks...
The best way to share photos is to upload them to our yearbook publisher directly. Details for how to do that are in the photo below. It is a huge time saver! You can also simply email them to collegehillspto@gmail.com.
Please include a note mentioning the names of those featured, what grade and teacher.
Yearbooks are now available to purchase in advance at Balfour.com for $20 each.
Congratulations to these innovative teachers and thank you sponsors!

We take new volunteers year round!
1. Let us know what volunteer opportunities interest you. We'll email you when volunteer opportunities come up if you select to hear about them through this online google form here:
Having trouble accessing the form? Send us an email to collegehillspto@gmail.com and we'll send you the link or a pdf that you can print and send in to your child's teacher.
2. Please complete CSISD’s Online Volunteer Application to be approved before you are able to volunteer inside the school during school hours.
Go to csisd.org and look for “Volunteering” under the “Parent Info” tab.
OR follow this link here:
With remind & Facebook, parents can receive helpful reminders and interesting news where it is most convenient.
We share even more info for parents through Facebook for the school here and for the PTO here. It is encouraged that parents toggle on "Get Notifications" on the top of our pages. Otherwise, many posts will not be included in your news feed without being boosted with an ad buy. We'd rather spend our money on the kids:)
