Dear Cougar Community,
As we enter week 9 of Learning at Home I want to say thanks for your continued support of student learning. This situation isn't easy for any of us by working together we can support students even though we are far apart!
Please take a few minutes to browse the virtual book fair linked above to shop. This supports our library collection. Special thanks to Ms. Russo and Book Worm Central for making this happen! Orders over $20.00 receive free shipping! Today is your last day to shop!
Please email me at ann.gwynn@mpark.net if any contact information needs to be updated. More information can be found here.
Please keep the pictures coming! Please send pictures to: ann.gwynn@mpark.net.
I miss seeing everyone everyday!

Internet with Cell Phone Companies
Some families have expressed that they may not have high-speed internet access at home. If you have a cell phone, your carrier may have provided you with additional hotspot data for free, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Please check with your cell phone provider to see what options are available to you.

Field Trip Money Information
All field trip money paid for trips that did not take place due to the school closure will automatically be carried over in students’ accounts to be used for future field trips in the 2020-2021 school year. If you would like to request a refund, please contact your child’s principal. This will begin the process of refunding field trip payments. Please understand that refunds, once requested, may take some time to process due to limited processing capabilities during the shutdown.
Kindergarten Registration
Food Service Program on Tuesdays at 4:00
The MPCS School Nutrition Program will continue to provide prepackaged grab-and-go meals at no charge to all children ages 18 and under. Participants should enter the Manassas Park High School lower lot.
Sets of five prepackaged breakfasts and lunches will be provided. All meals will be the same regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service.
Please note that all children must be present in order to receive the meals. The Virginia Department of Education has granted MPCS permission to waive this requirement for the parents of children with physical limitations and/or immunocompromised systems. If you need to pick up meals for your child without their presence, email deanne.perez@mpark.net.
Volunteers will continue to mark cars with the number of meals requested. If at all possible, please leave the number on your windshield to expedite this process at next week’s market. Safe social distancing practices will remain in effect. As the market and meal distributions will be set up as a grab-and-go, attendees should follow volunteer direction to ensure safe vehicle traffic and open vehicle trunks for expedited delivery.
