Important Reminders
- If your student is going to be absent or will arrive late to school for any reason, please notify the office by 8:20am. This can be done by calling the Attendance line at (920) 662-7990 or by email - fgelementary@hssdschools.org

Forest Glen Spring Concerts
Greetings Forest Glen Family!
The Forest Glen spring concerts are fast approaching! Our students are excited to share with you some of the fun things we have been learning in music class.
Each concert will be performed at the Bay Port High School Performing Arts Center at the times and dates listed below. We ask that students arrive at the PAC lobby at the listed arrival times, during which they will go backstage through the doors to the left of the PAC lobby. Parent volunteers will then assist them in lining up and going on stage. It is important for students to remain with their families until the specified arrival time. Donations for the Giving Tree
This month The Giving Tree is collecting granola bars. Please feel free to send donations with your students to put in the collections bins/carts near the main office of school. Items can also be dropped off during school hours. The Giving Tree appreciates the community support in helping ensure food is not a barrier to a student’s education.
*Thank you so much to our families who have donated items for this cause! It is greatly appreciated!

In addition to District social media accounts, local television/radio stations, and the District website, HSSD will send weather delay and closing updates via text message . State Education Convention – an Opportunity for Board Members to Learn and Grow
From January 19 – 21, 2022, school board members and school administrators from around the state will gather in Milwaukee for the annual Wisconsin State Education Convention, hosted by the Wisconsin Association of School Boards, Wisconsin Association of School District Administrators, and Wisconsin Association of School Business Officials. The Education Convention offers school leaders opportunities to learn from peers and national experts on a variety of topics key to running an effective school district including school finance, school laws, equity and access, and social and emotional learning.
Continued education is a key element of the leadership philosophy shared by the Howard- Suamico School Board and HSSD Administration. The four HSSD school board members and three members of the administrative team attending are grateful for the chance to learn in person this year.
In addition to attending and learning, school leaders can apply to lead a session teaching their peers. In the past, HSSD board members and administrators have had the privilege of sharing the story of our district in this way. This year, our superintendent Damain LaCroix will share how our community has strived for unity over the past year, leading to the successful passage of two referendums and high staff satisfaction rates during a period of great political and social unrest.
The annual State Education Convention is just one way the Howard-Suamico School Board lives out its mission: to enact policies and allocate resources to develop all students’ full academic potential and to promote their social and emotional growth. For more information on the board’s mission and governance practices, visit the Board of Education page on the HSSDwebsite (www.hssdschools.org).
