Spring is here, folks!

Sectional Leadership Development Event

Our members ended February competing at the Sutherlin Family Church in speaking events. We had members competing in Parliamentary Procedure, Conduct of Chapter Meetings, and Prepared Public Speaking at the sectional level. Our section is made up of three different districts from around the state. We also had several members helping organize all the rooms and keep competitions running. Thank you to the Sutherlin Family Church for donating their facilities to help our members develop these valuable skills!

Sutherlin FFA sure was busy at this year's State Convention. Our parliamentary procedure team competed and placed SECOND in STATE! Our Conduct of Chapter Meetings team competed and placed FIFTH in STATE! Marissa Magaña was in the top 8 in the state and competed in Prepared Public Speaking! Ashley Radmer made it to the finals in her Goat Production Proficiency! Alexis Cervantes and Samantha Morris also made it to state and competed in Co-Op Quiz! Madyson Doolittle Brown performed a solo and placed THIRD in STATE for the talent competition! Lastly, last years Chapter President, Katie Price, ended her year of service and retired as the 2021-2022 Oregon FFA State Sentinel!

It was a successful weekend! We cannot wait for next year!
