- Please join us in congratulating our colleague Jeaning (4K) as she celebratied matrimony over the winter break. Please join me in wishing she and her husband a successful maritial relationship.
- D. Bobb welcomed a new grandchild this past Thursday.
- S. Sazehn's small teachers for leading last Friday's learning celebration.
- S. Burke, pictured below, has been named by the SC Council for Exceptional Children Rookie Teacher of the Year. She was nominated by Mr. Gantt and will be recognized at an award banquet February 29th in Myrtle Beach. Please join me in congratulating our colleague for this distinquished recognition.
Leadership Tuesday
District leadership teams meet Tuesday, January 21st. Our school leadership team will meet with me and our data team facilitators will meet with Mr. Gantt as regularly scheduled.
Textbook Adoption Meeting
DFES will serve as the host site for textbook adoption meetings beginning this Thursday from 3:15 - 5:00 in the mini theater. FYI.
Event Information
D5 School Board Meeting
DFES will host the next school board meeting scheduled for January 27th. All certified staff members are expected to be in attendence. Host schools identify one student to lead the pledge and a welcoming address and a extremely brief presentation. The welcoming address and host school presentation is amongst the first items on the agenda. Once the school presentation has concluded our certified staff can depart for the evening.
3 items of note as we prepare to host the board meeting. The first is to ensure that student work displayed outside of your respective spaces are tidy, includes purpose, and updated.
Our newest school shirts to be worn on this evening. Jeans are acceptable. Finally we will need to utilize rear parking.
