They Visited With the Zionsville Eagle
And They Enjoyed Lots of Fun Activities!
Welcome Back To School!
Dear BME parents,
We hope your summer has been filled with fun adventures with your kiddos!
After a successful first-ever BME Bash at the end of April, the BME PTO is energized, excited, and ready for the new school year! The PTO Board has been working on several initiatives over the summer, and we are excited to share opportunities with you to support our school and get involved at BME.
We are launching this first edition of our PTO newsletter to keep parents, teachers, staff, and friends in-the-know about upcoming events and other PTO-related news. We plan to publish our newsletter four times per year.
We look forward to seeing you at our first PTO meeting of the school year, scheduled for Aug. 10. The PTO Board will meet at 5:30 and we will host our general meeting at 6:30 p.m.
We hope you will join us for an exciting year ahead!
Torrye Kampen
2022-'23 PTO President

Save the Date: Jog-A-Thon is Sept. 23!
The PTO's Jog-A-Thon committee is busy planning for this year's fundraising event, scheduled for Sept. 23! The Jog-A-Thon is a fun and active annual fundraiser put on at each Zionsville elementary school. This event was created to reduce the number of fundraisers needed to support our students and school staff throughout the year. Instead of selling wrapping paper or popcorn, we promote healthy bodies and fun through the Jog-A-Thon!
Each BME student will be provided a Jog-A-Thon t-shirt to wear the day of the event and will be encouraged to participate in this year's theme: NEON!
The Jog-A-Thon takes place on a quarter-mile course in the back parking lot of the school. Students will be given time to jog (or walk) as many laps as they can. Families are invited to cheer them on!
Stay tuned for more information about Jog-A-Thon, including volunteer opportunities. Be sure to follow us on Facebook!

- Set-up/tear-down
- Helping shoppers pick books that they can afford
- Occasional cashier
- Two-hour time frame during the school day
- All-day volunteer during the school day
- Parent night: One or two evenings possible (4-6 p.m.)
