Preamble & Seven Articles description
The Preamble lists why the 13 colonies wanted to separate from Britain and become an independent nation, these reasons being to make a good government, achieve domestic peace, national security, healthy communities, freedom, for themselves and their friednds and families. The Constitution was also described as the supreme law of the land in the closing lines. The Seven Articles of the constitution establish, in order, the legislative, executive, and judicial branches, states' powers, amendments being allowed, federal power superseding state authority, and the ratification of the Constitution.
