Keeping Up With Kindergarten
Mrs. Enright's Class
December 23, 2015
While we are so excited to spend the next week and a half with family celebrating the holidays, we are very sad to say goodbye to our friend William D.! We have loved all the memories we have shared with him this year and we wish his family luck in their move to Texas. We will certainly be keeping in touch with William to see how the DyReyes family is settling into their new life in Houston!
Working with pattern blocks!
A winter craft with our buddies.
We will miss you William!
What's Happening in the Classroom?
Math: We have been working with pattern blocks to create shapes. By building different pictures with the shapes, we were able to focus in the different attributes that make each shape unique. When we come back from break we are going to begin basic addition and subtraction using math stories and pictures for support.
Social Studies: We have completed our family study of traditions over the past two weeks. I hope you all got the chance to see what your child highlighted as their favorite winter tradition hanging in the hall outside our room. When we come back from break we will begin a new unit where we will be exploring the behaviors and expectations for being a good friend.
Quick Notes & Reminders
- There is no school Thursday, December 24th through January 3rd for winter break.
