Thank You PTO
We'd like to express our heartfelt gratitude for your incredible support of our school. A special thank you for providing the delicious food during the parent-teacher conferences; it not only fueled us but also allowed our staff to share a meal together.
Moreover, we want to extend our appreciation to the PTO for their contribution towards the new monitor now hanging in our Commons. This fantastic addition enables us to share student news, calendar invites, inspirational messages, and so much more. Your support truly makes a difference, and we are grateful for your commitment to enhancing the Lincoln experience!
Lincoln Student/Staff Dance Team
The Dance team invited staff members to participate in their halftime routines. Picture below is the Lincoln Student/Staff Dance Team. Thank you to Ms. Howard and Mrs. Rapacz for including the staff as they gave fun and memorable performances!
School Library Information
Our schools' Library Resource Centers utilize an online library management system called Destiny Discover. This system is accessible to our students and families, allowing them to view all books available in our school libraries. Students can access Destiny Discover through their Classlink LaunchPad from anywhere and explore the catalog to find books of interest. Additionally, Destiny offers an option for students to place a "hold" on a book they would like to check out from the library. This short video shows how to use Destiny Discover.
Classroom collections are another great source of books for our students, and teachers are well-equipped to make recommendations based on students’ interests and Lexile (reading) levels. Classroom collections are not cataloged like our libraries, so families that prefer to make reading decisions on their own may choose to take advantage of Destiny to only check out books from the LRC.
Volleyball Tryouts - Mark Your Calendar!
Volleyball sign-ups can be found using this link. In order to try-out for volleyball, the student must have a current physical on file with Mrs. Smith, the school nurse. Any questions, please contact Mrs. Bailey at kbailey@d57.org or Ms. Juliano at ljuliano@d57.org.

The event will be at Westbrook School for Young Learners, 103 Busse Rd. in Mount Prospect.
Westbrook Kindergarten Enrollment for 2024-2025
Program Information:
Westbrook’s Kindergarten program is available to all families residing within the boundaries of District 57. Children must have reached the age of 5 on or before September 1, 2024, in order to be eligible for kindergarten registration for the 2024-2025 school year. The kindergarten program is a half-day program with a choice of either a morning (AM) or afternoon (PM) session, scheduled from Monday through Friday.
Families will have the opportunity to enter a lottery for enrollment in the morning (AM) program. The lottery will utilize a random number generator to establish the order of placement. Once all available slots for the AM classes are filled, students will be assigned to the afternoon (PM) session. For those students who participated in the lottery but were not selected for the morning program, their randomly assigned number will determine their position on the AM waitlist. If any openings become available in the morning program, we will contact families accordingly.
LOTTERY PARTICIPATION will require pre-enrollment and residency verification to be completed by Friday, February 16th. Any outstanding paperwork from the above mentioned steps MUST be submitted before February 23rd.
Detailed information regarding the pre-enrollment and residency verification steps will be posted on the website in December, 2023. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to the Westbrook office at (847) 394-7340 or wb-office@d57.org.
