Ocean Awareness; Save Ocean City
By Matthew Gartside, Kaleb Mullhausen, and John Millburn
The Island Is In Trouble
The current problem began when the Potomac Chesapeake Hurricane hit OC (Ocean City) and removed some sand from the island, splitting OC into 2 sections. The problem is they can only make the sand reappear in 30 years from 2014, which the cause of this is erosion. OC needs our help, and we have the perfect solution to make this time shorter.
Solutions to this Erosion
We could build a jetty in the water to prevent water crossing any longer to OC or the other side, therefore having nothing interfering while having beach nourishment in progress, and we can also build a bridge to get people across the other side so that OC is whole again temporarily by a bridge.
