Middle School Moments
May 14, 2019
From the Desk of Mrs. McCoy
This time of year brings many emotions from students, teachers and even me. The end of each year seems to come faster and faster. I am never ready! We began our year talking about our GLOW theme based out of Matthew 5:16, challenging our students to rely on the Spirit of our Living God to help them with academics, athletics, in serving others and in finding their identity in Christ. Many of them have GLOWED! Others have not grasped that they need to fully rely on Christ. We are still praying for God to do a transforming work in them. Join me in praying for our students and families as everyone embarks on summer plans.
We are excited about the Groundbreaking Ceremony that took place last week and about what God is doing at Silverdale with our If Capital Campaign. Remember as you leave the property for summer to check back on our website for the progress and please pray with us for God to guide the process.
We also began the year talking about skort length for our girls. It is still an on-going issue. So, parents of girls as you purchase new skorts, help us by buying them long enough. I will discuss with you in August our plan to give them leggings to wear if they are too short. Our goal is to help with modesty.
Thank you for sharing your children with SBA. Thank you for choosing Christian education. I know it is a sacrifice for most families, BUT as a parent who chose it for our 3 children, Ken and I would do it all over again. Investing in your children that way is worth it!
See you very soon. Many blessings this summer.
