Meet Dominique Paladino
Pascack Regional Instructional and Curriculum Coordinator
Hi, my name is Dominique Paladino. In an effort to meet and connect with everyone in the Pascack Valley Regional Community, I have created this interactive newsletter to share a little bit about myself. Hopefully, I have met some of you in your schools already, and if not, I hope to meet you soon. Until then, here is a brief bio. I am a enthusiastic person who has been teaching and coaching in the public schools since 2008. I was an elementary school teacher in Caldwell-West Caldwell School District. Before I left Caldwell, I was a K-5 Literacy Coach. I earned my undergraduate degree in Family and Child Studies: Education from Montclair State University (2008). While I was studying at MSU, I played soccer for the University. Go Red Hawks! Soon after, I earned my master's degree in Counseling from Montclair State University (2012). In August of 2015, I also completed my Supervision Certificate.
I consider myself a life-long learner. I was extremely fortunate to have exceptional educational mentors at the early start of my career. I was quickly turned on to outstanding educational leaders like Lucy Calkins, Katie Wood Ray, Chris Lehman, Kate Roberts, Carl Anderson, Jeff Anderson, Georgia Heard, Tony Stead, Carol Dweck, Angela Duckworth, and Lisa Thuman, among countless others. I take pride in building a true love for reading and writing at a young age, and continuing that growth into the adolescent years for students. In later years, I have also developed a love for technology and its function in the classroom and the in the world around us. I consult across New Jersey, collaborating, learning, and supporting teachers on how to effectively use 21st century effective teaching practices. I wish to learn and share ideas to inspire educators.
When I'm not working, I love spending time with my family and friends. I enjoy traveling and experiencing new things.
I look forward to building relationships within the Pascack Valley Region Community. I will be in the schools looking to support grade level teams and teachers. I hope to be a resource for you this year!
