The heart is a key part in the circulatory system. it is used as a pump for our blood. it pushes blood around the body and gives oxygen to the mussels and other places too.

The veins and arteries are crucial to the circulatory system. the arteries carry oxygen away from the heart and veins towards.

illnesses involving the circulatory system

many illnesses can effect the heart like angina, heart disease, clogged arteries and heart attacks.

some illnesses like angina are caused by poor blood flow, and have effects like chest pains. and others are more server like clogged arteries that can lead to strokes and can kill you.

  1. blood is not blue inside your body or if it is deprived of oxygen, it is dark red.
  2. that after needing 13 liters of blood for a surgery at the age of 13, a man named James Harrison pledged to donate blood once he turned 18. It was discovered that his blood contained a rare antigen which cured Rhesus disease. He has donated blood a record 1,000 times and saved 2,000,000 lives.
  3. There is about 0.2 milligrams of gold in our bodies, most of which is in our blood.
