News & Notes from Ms. Kapuchuck!
I hope you have had a restful weekend filled with family time! I know that all of us are working through many emotions and feelings following last week's events at the Capitol, especially when it comes to talking with our children about what they may have seen or heard on the news. Below, I have included an article that provides some helpful strategies to consider if children demonstrate fear or uncertainty about their safety.
The DEADLINE FOR THE RCPS SURVEY is TOMORROW (January 11th). If you wish to request placement changes for your child- either switching your child from the Home Learning Academy to in person learning, or switching from in person learning to the Home Learning Academy, the survey you received from RCPS is due tomorrow (Monday, January 11th). If your child is enrolled in the Home Learning Academy, you will need to designate whether you prefer morning or afternoon instruction. We will not be able to accept any changes to educational preference after tomorrow (Monday, January 11th), therefore please make sure you complete the survey ASAP if you wish to make a change.
As a reminder, RCPS schools and offices will be closed on Monday, January 18th. Enjoy the three day weekend with your family!
Please read the important information below. Have a great week!
