Student Council Service Project - Extended to March:

Our Student Council will continue their Service Project into March with supporting The Vault Foster Care Organization. We would love to have any donations to help support families who are walking through the Foster Care System.

March 8th: 4th grade Field Trip

March 20th: ONLINE REGISTRATION BEGINS 2023-2024 School Year


March 23rd: PreK/Kinder Round Up: 1:00-6:00pm


March 24th: Chalk Art Day (Due Date)

Attention: Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade Artist that would like to participate in “Chalk Art Day”.


Contest Entry: Each student that wants to participate will create a design at home and turn into Ms. Berset. She will pick the top 3 entries from each homeroom class, then the office will vote on the winner. The winner will be able to pick 2-3 students from their class to help them create on “Chalk Art Day”.


Due Date: Friday, March 24th, 2023


Dates for “Chalk Art Day”:

· K-2nd: Thursday, April 6th, 2023

· 3rd-5th: Tuesday, April 11th, 2023


Supplies: 8.5X11 inch paper, pencil, crayons or color pencils


Theme: “We are Wild about Curington!”. Each entry should have a wild animal. It is the focal point and should be the largest part of the artwork. Please do not use extinct or imaginary creatures. (No unicorns, dragons, dinosaurs, etc.)

Dad's on Duty (Watch Dogs):

Dad's on Duty is now LIVE. This is an opportunity for dads to join us first thing in the morning, any day, and help with morning drop-off, cafeteria help, hallway patrol, back playground support, etc. This will run from 7:00-8:00am. You must have a background check completed through Boerne ISD. Once complete, simply sign-up and show up on the scheduled date at the front office. Please bring your photo ID and we will go from there. We're excited about this new opportunity.

Mrs. Kazenas is excited to kick off our CES Cougar Choir!! Choir is opened to any 4th or 5th grade student.

STUDENT BIRTHDAY TREATS

At Curington Elementary we love celebrating students birthdays! On the day of your child's birthday, their name will be announced on the morning announcements (weekend birthdays will be celebrated on the Friday before) and they will receive a birthday pencil! Our summer birthdays will be shared during the month of May. If you would like to add your child's name to the marquee for a special birthday announcement, please see the form below.


If you would like to bring a treat for your child's class on their birthday, please make sure all treats are store bought with a nutrition label. This is a BISD procedure which requires an FDA approved label with ingredients and allergens legibly listed.

Bus Information; Where's My Bus Stop? What time is Pick-Up/Drop-Off?

-Bus transportation is available for any BISD student to/from school as long as the student resides two miles or more from the campus.

-When registering for the 22-23 school year, families had the option of selecting whether or not transportation was needed. If you need to make a change, parents will be able to do this starting August 1st.
