First Annual Fun Run - May 5th - 17th

PARENTS! To give your child the best educational experience possible, we’re excited to raise funds for Freedom Park School! And we’re hosting a Fun Run to make that happen. Family and friends anywhere in the world can support our school by giving pledges toward the number of laps your student will run on the day of the Fun Run on May 17th .


Our 2-week Fun Run program kicks off on May 8th . Plus, leading up to the Fun Run, students will learn how to make a difference in their world through an unbelievable character theme, Backyard Box Office. HELP Freedom Park School IN 4 STEPS!


1. Register on FUNRUN.COM on May 8th .

2. Connect to sponsors—friends and family who can donate to help our school.

3. Cheer on your child! (Come to the Fun Run on May 17th)

4. Collect! Pledge money is due one week after the run. Checks are payable to the school.

Teacher of the Year - Ms. Sandra Owens

Please join Freedom Park in congratulating the teacher of the year for 2017-2018, Ms. Sandra Owens. Ms. Owens is a 4th grade teacher at The Park. She is dedicated to ensuring her students are not only prepared for fifth grade, but also develop into life long learners. Congratulations Ms. Owens!

Kindergarten Roundup

Kindergarten Round Up was a success. If your child plans to attend kindergarten at Freedom Park next year, please register online. It is not too late.

Library Books Due!!!

Please check at home for overdue library books. All library books and fines were due last Friday. Please remind your student to turn in all library books.

EOY Process - Parents Please Be Aware

May 11th we will send home "student charge notices". Please be on the look out for any over due charge slips in the student's folders or book bags.

Camp I.V.E.Y

Camp I.V.E.Y is now accepting applications for summer camp. The camp is for students ages 8-14. Scholarships are available. Please contact the Family Y at (706) 922-9622 or visit the website for additional information.

The Parent Academy

Looking to sharpen your parenting skills and have a good relationship with your children? Fort Gordon Army Community Service, Family Advocacy Program presents a series of 12 workshops covering different aspects of raising children! Sign-up for one or all twelve!! Summer School

The Richmond County School System will offer a variety of summer programs for students this year. The focus of the elementary summer school program is to provide targeted students with intensive support in Reading and Mathematics. Middle and High school students will have the opportunity to take specific courses for promotion or to remain on track for cohort graduation. Summer School employment information is located on the Human Resources site of district website.
