Auto TTS Update
A new feature will be available soon for students who use the auto text-to-speech (TTS) online accommodation. To allow students time to adjust to the new information on each screen, a countdown timer will be displayed to indicate that TTS will begin five seconds after the student navigates to a new passage or item.
STAAR ALT 2
As a reminder, any student who needs to take the STAAR ALT 2 Alternate 2 must have the following fields set to “Yes” by January 6, 2023.
- Special Ed Indicator Code
- Alternate Student Flag: STAAR Alternate 2
I made this click sheet to show you the steps to run a report of which students are registered for STAAR Alt 2.

Interim Assessments
- Results from the STAAR Interim Assessments will be reported in Cambium's centralized reporting system (CRS). CRS will contain district-level, campus-level, and student-level reports. Reports at the student level will include the following data:
- The student’s response to each test question,
- The TEKS student expectation for each test question,
- A pop-up window that shows the test question,
- Item-level reporting information,
- Reporting Category targets, and
- Percentages representing the statistical probability of achieving “Approaches,” “Meets,” and “Masters” grade level expectations on STAAR.
- Reports will continue to include data files and percentages representing the statistical probability of achieving “Approaches,” “Meets,” and “Masters” grade level expectations on STAAR.
This information is also on the STAAR Interim Assessments page or the Interim Assessment Educator Guide. STAAR Interim Assessment Blueprints are also located on this page. New Family Portal for Cambium
Cambium Assessment, Inc. (CAI) began hosting the Family Portal for the Texas Assessment Program on January 2, 2023. The look of the Family Portal did change slightly, but the functionality of the portal remains the same. Because the Family Portal will be integrated with other CAI systems, certain user roles within TIDE will have the ability to look up student access codes for the portal.
Like the previous vendor, CAI offers the ability to integrate single sign-on (SSO) with a district’s local Student Information System (SIS). Parents will be able to access their students’ results for the Texas Assessment Program directly, bypassing the Family Portal login screen. To enable SSO integration with the Family Portal, refer to the new Family Portal card on the Testing Personnel page of the Texas Assessment website.
