JKC's PLC at Work

As we continue on our PLC Journey, may we remember to hold up what we have identified as our shared purpose and vision.

A shift in Fundamental Purpose

From a focus on teaching….to collaboration.

From emphasis on what is being taught…to a fixation on what students learned.

From coverage of content…to a demonstration of proficiency.

From providing individual teachers with curriculum documents such as state standards and curriculum guides…to engaging collaborative teams in building shared knowledge regarding essential curriculum.

From Learning by Doing- DuFour, DuFour, Eaker and Many
