Titan Families,
This week we have a lot of wonderful things planned for our Titan Community. First, we finish out our kinder and 1st grade performances. It is fascinating seeing how much our littlest Titans have grown in a year regarding the arts! We have PTA coffee chat with Dr. Gearing, our Superintendent, about the bond on Wednesday, so please be sure to RSVP below. And to end our week, our PTA will lead our Field Day events on Friday. Be sure to read all about what we have in store in this newsletter further.
Next week starts our STAAR testing season. Our students and staff have prepared for this year's round of state assessments. We are confident in our student body's ability to show what they know! Please encourage your Titan(s) to do their best and remind them that it is all about growth! As a reminder, we do not allow any visitors these days- including lunches, so please plan accordingly.
We look forward to supporting, celebrating, and partnering with you to end our school year strong.
Take care and be well,
Dr. Amy Sharp

STAAR April 25-26 and May 9
River Place 3rd through 5th Graders will take the annual STAAR tests on the following dates:
April 25-- Reading/Language Arts
April 26-- Science (5th Grade only)
May 9-- Math
To support testing needs, we will have no visitors on campus on these dates including lunch visitors for all grade levels.
Students benefit from getting a good night’s sleep before the test and having a healthy breakfast the morning of the assessment. Please encourage your child to take the upcoming STAAR seriously and to give their best effort. Students have the entire school day to take the test if needed, so they should be encouraged to take their time.
Bond 2023/ Bono 2023
The Leander ISD Board of Trustees has scheduled a bond election for Saturday, May 6. Early voting is from April 24 to May 2.
The proposed bond — which is divided into three propositions totaling $762.82 million — includes:
projects to address student and staff safety at every LISD campus
two new elementary schools in fast-growing areas
repairs and updates at several campuses
a new facility for the LISD Special Education 18+ Transition Services Center
replacement of music instruments
renovations at the district's two Performing Arts Centers
and more.
The bond would not impact the LISD tax rate.
You can learn much more about the bond by watching this video and by visiting www.leanderisd.org/bond2023. Also, look for posters displayed on campus describing how the bond would affect the specific schools serving your area of the district.
