NEW EASY ASSESSMENTS TOOLS - Google Forms and Schoology

Google Forms and Schoology Quizzes/Tests are great easy ways to assess students with immediate feedback. Scantrons and Mastery Manager are ways of the past.

Google Forms can be created in your Google Drive and give you a bunch of question options from which to choose, from multiple choice to dropdowns to a linear scale. Get fancy with adding images and YouTube videos. Each test/quiz is automatically graded (unless you've included a short answer/essay), providing you with instant and powerful results.

In your Schoology course you can create tests/quizzes to assess your students' grasp of the material or evaluate their preparedness for class. Each test/quiz is automatically graded (unless you've included a subjective question, such as a short answer/essay), providing you with instant and powerful feedback that can help guide your upcoming lesson plans. You can manually override grades, add comments, and customize a wide array of settings for each test/quiz.

Here are “how to” videos on Google Forms and Schoology Quizzes/Tests, to walk you through the simple steps to make you a tech savvy teacher.

Getting To Know Us

GOOGLE DOCS vs. PRINTING

District 220 is moving towards One-to-One Technology, which will help us to go paperless. Barrington220 Administration is asking teachers to limit requiring student to print out assignments. We have had many student come down to the library asking to print essays and assignments.

Please consider using Google Docs to share, edit and collaborate. Google Docs is a wonderful tool for students to share their work with their teachers, so teachers are able to digitally comment on their work. Students will be able to get the feedback immediately and fix their errors right there, without using a single sheet of paper.

Here’s a link on how to comment and edit Google Docs for teachers: Link.
