Note: Students are NOT to bring bags or footballs to the football games.
The Reason Why:
Over the years, unsuspecting people have been hit by flying footballs, run into by students running around and not paying attention to their surroundings, peer disagreements (close to altercations) amongst kids of all ages take place, and reports of stolen footballs arise.
We have also taken the stance with HS students of no backpacks allowed in the games. We are not taking the stance of "No Bags" for everyone, but with HS kids, we don't know what they may bring in that could be thrown, drunk, left out in the rain (like the chromebook last week), etc.
Athletes of the Week:
1. Katelyn Burkett - Girls' Golf - Shot an 88 at the Elks to finish T10 in the County tournament mon. Shot a 41 against Holly to be match medalist at Tyrone Hills Tuesday. Shot a 43 against Brandon to be match medalist on Friday at Tyrone Hills
2. Patrick Hamilton - Boys' Soccer - Patrick Hamilton has notched 1 goal and three assists in our first two games against Goodrich in a 2-1 win (goal and assist) and Linden in a 4-1 win (2 assists).

New Online Graphing Calculator Access
FHS Students should have received an email (to his/her school gmail) from Texas Instruments to setup an account for the online graphing calculator. Students should make sure to check his/her gmail for this email. If the email is not in the inbox, students should check his/her spam folder for it.
Once students create the account, they will be able to use the link setup in Clever under the Fenton Links section that will take them to the graphing calculator.

Positivity Project: Theme of the Week: Teamwork
This week is the character strength of Teamwork. Teamwork means you work well as a member of a group or team. You are loyal, reliable, and dedicated to helping your team achieve its goals.
Teamwork is the ability and willingness to place overall group success as a higher priority than individual achievement. Those who demonstrate strengths in teamwork often work to help all group members find success. These individuals are willing to commit time and resources in order to further group goals and help toward the greater good.
To practice and encourage the character strength of teamwork with your child, please visit the Positivity Project’s P2 for Families (password: P2), where together you will watch a video, read a quote, and talk about the answers to three questions.
Last Week's Theme: Curiosity - How many questions, on average, does a young child ask per day? Check out the 2-3 minute video of the kids with Go Pro helmets to find out. It illustrates just how hard of a job it is to be a parent!!!
