4th Grade Chronicle
Camacho Cosmos
This Week in Review
If you were a fly on the wall this week in Fourth Grade you would have seen authors hunched over their work furiously writing and illustrating their book, ecologists studying the relationships between plants and animals and their environments, and mathematicians using different tools to measure length, volume, and time.
Language Arts
Our authors are putting the finishing touches on their Trickster Tale this week. We are working hard to finish and practice our stories for the younger grades to present on February 11th and 12th!
The picture is of Tim Tingle-a storyteller we have listened to in our community gatherings.
Talking Point: Ask which of his stories was the best. Ask what sound effects or hand motions they will use in their story.
Science
This week in science we dove into the world of ecology with a wonderful book, Uno's Garden. Through this fictional writing, students were provided with a tale of human destruction and the importance of the balance in nature. We are well on our way to developing our next driving question, and making changes in the world.
Measuring in Math
Our word of the week is MEASUREMENT! We enjoyed talking about different units of measurement and practicing with different hands-on activities.
Talking Point- Ask you child about the 4Cs of STEM. We learned new action signs for each C and have been reflecting on them throughout the week.
CONGRATULATIONS 4TH GRADE!
Pirates the Musical Was a Hit
