What to do about cyberbullying

Cyberbullying (as well as the similar phenomena, cyberstalking), have become increasingly prominent in recent years, as more and more of youth's social lives move online. The accessibility and pseudonymity of online environments/social media make it exceedingly easy to harass and increasingly difficult for harassment to be traced definitively back to the perpetrator. Thus cyber bullying has become a endemic issue in our schools, and unlike traditional bullying, follows the victims readily into their homes.

What can you do?

One way to help "stomp out bullying" is to be sure to report any instances you come across to some authority figure capable of properly dealing with the perpetrator. Another way of helping fight cyber-bullying is to publicly support the victims on an individual level, since it is much worse for them if they feel alone.
