Literacy
NEW ITEM: ISIP
Beginning this year, only Grades K-2 will participate in ISIP testing, as indicated on the Literacy Assessment Overviews, which are located on the Assessment tab of GPS. Grades 3-5 will no longer be using ISIP.
*ALL students will receive a face-to-face DRA during the beginning-of-year literacy assessment window (8/15-9/20).
NEW ITEM: CALLING ALL “TWEETERS”

The Denton County Office of History & Culture wants to partner with FISD to support our educational needs. Take a look at the Traveling Museum Elementary Flyer to learn all about the museum exhibits and traveling museums that are available FREE to our students! Science
**Training for new to teaching science
ZOOM session will be offered on August 27 from 3:30-5:00.
Credit for this session will be granted through eduphoria by each campus.

**Please make sure to have science safety posters up in their classroom and science lab. Also science safety contracts need to be signed and placed in student journals.
Great news, we will be syncing eSchool and STEMscopes on a nightly basis.
Teachers no longer need to enter a new students as they will get added during our nightly sync.
Please don't add students, as this can mess up the auto process.
If a student is not showing up in STEMscopes after 24 hours, Notify a science coordinator.
ADI training on Super Saturday Sept. 28th for 4th and 5th grade teachers of science that have not yet been trained in ADI Link
Math
ESTAR/MSTAR Fall Assessment Window for Grade 2 - Grade 5 opens August 26 and closes October 18. Teachers and students will not be able to access this assessment until mid-Sept. We will send out communication once this assessment is available for teachers and students to access. The dates for this year have been added to the Assessment section of the GPS. Additional information related to ESTAR/MSTAR. Please let us know if you have questions.
ALL campuses will have access to Imagine Math this school year. All students enrolled on the campus as of the first day of school should be ready to begin. Please see link for additional information about what is included in an Imagine Math Lesson. We will provide more guidance throughout the school year in how best to utilize this resource.
NEW ITEM Please note the snapshot dates in some grade levels do not align to the end of the cluster since snapshots are not intended to be an end of cluster exam. Please use common formative assessments and common summative assessments to measure progress throughout the cluster.
