Book Fair, Measuring, and Memories
The PSMS Fall Book Fair is taking place in the Media Center now through September 25. The fair will be open during the Parent Information Night. Stop by and check out the wide assortment of books, posters, and trinkets for sale. Proceeds benefit the Media Center student activities account, which supports events such as the Summer Reading Celebration. Scholastic Dollars are also earned, which can be spent at the fair or through the Scholastic catalog.
Mrs. LaFontaine’s Computer Art class has been busy making digital time capsules. Students include likes, dislikes, and other pertinent information about themselves. Then, when these students are seniors, Mrs. LaFontaine will send them their time capsule so they can have a look back at their middle school self.
Ms. Whitney’s 7th-grade science classes practiced measuring liquids as precisely as possible. Using graduated cylinders, beakers, and test tubes, students measured and mixed two different colored waters to get a third hue. They discovered that the meniscus needed to be viewed at eye level to be accurate.

PLYMOUTH SOUTH ATHLETES OF THE WEEK
Congratulations Marykate Bochman & Keven Paul
Marykate Bochman, Cross Country - Marykate Bochman has shown that her hard work over the summer has paid off. She placed 2nd in our meet against Hingham and bettered her 5K time by almost 2 minutes at the Martha's Vineyard Invitational over the weekend. Marykate is a great leader with an incredible work ethic. Marykate is always looking ahead to see how she can improve not only herself but the team as well. Her positive attitude and desire to excel are why she is consistently improving.
Keven Paul, Football - Keven Paul had a stellar varsity debut on Friday versus Chicopee Comp HS. At quarterback, Kevin completed 78% of his passes and threw for a touchdown. On the ground, he rushed 6 times for 83 yards and another score. Keven was just getting started as he would add a 2point reception and an interception on defense to his performance on the night. His leadership on both sides of the ball helped the Panthers football team get out to a 1-0 start.
