Unit B
We are so glad to be back with our students after the long break! We want to remind our families to set and turn on alarms to alert students that it is time to log back into Zoom. Please check your class schedule and consider setting alarms 5 minutes prior to the start of class so students are ready to begin on time.

A Message From Mr. Buckner
Hello Ridgeway Families! I hope you had an amazing holiday and some much needed time of rest. As we all know this has been a challenging school year, but one of the things I love seeing is your beautiful kids’ faces on Zoom. Our teachers do such a great job making sure they are having the most fun possible, and it’s a joy to pop into their Zoom classes.
A lot of you have never met me and do not know my role. I am the Home School Communicator for Ridgeway. My job is to ensure all children are receiving the proper support to improve their educational experience. I serve as a liaison between parents and the school regarding the needs of your children. If you ever have any questions, do not hesitate to ask. I cannot wait to see you and your amazing kids in person soon!
COVID Antigen Testing
Testing is still available to CPS students and staff who are exhibiting symptoms of the illness.
The test that will be used is most accurate when administered in the first 7 days of symptom onset. Therefore, prior to testing, parents and/or guardians will call the CPS nurse triage phone line at 214-3975 to discuss the need for testing based on these guidelines. The phone line will be open from 7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., Monday-Friday, school days only.
If it is determined that the student or staff member will be tested, an appointment will be made for one of the 2 testing sites located at either Hickman or Rock Bridge high schools. Testing appointments will be Monday-Friday, 9:30 a.m.-2:15 p.m. when school is in session. Testing will not be available on days that school is closed for breaks or snow days.
The test is performed by nasal swab. After the swab is done, the individual will return home and begin isolating until they receive their test result from a CPS nurse. The nurse will provide guidance on what actions should be taken based on the test result.
