Thank you!

Greetings Team!

As I reflect back on this school year, I feel very humble to be a part of the Cavalier Family. This year has been a learning experience; I have learned from staff, students, parents, and community members. It has been a tremendous joy because I am surrounded by great people and wonderful students. I believe that we all have the greatest jobs in the world because we work with students every day. Our responsibility of educating young adults is tremendous, yet very rewarding.

I want to thank you all for your hard work and commitment to the Chula Vista Middle School community. Have a restful break and reconnect with family and friends.

Sincerely,

Julissa

Once a Cavalier, Always a Cavalier!

On behalf of the CVM family, we want to wish those Cavaliers that will be leaving us due to low enrollment a warm-hearted farewell. We wish you all the best and thank you for everything you have done for our students, our parent, our teachers, and our community in general.

We appreciate your service to this community and hope that you have a great time at your new site.

Best Wishes!

From the Desk of the District's Maintenance Department and Energy Management Team . . .

Dear Colleagues,

In an effort to conserve energy, the Maintenance Department and Energy Management Team will be shutting down the district’s automated heating/air-conditioning systems during the Summer Break.

This shut down affects only the automatic EMS (Energy Management System) that controls the HVAC infrastructure on your campus, and does not cover manually controlled environmental systems. To save energy, please have your staff adjust these manual systems so they do not operate in unoccupied facilities.

In order to program your EMS for any incidental occupied areas or special functions you may have on campus during this period please send an email to Energy Management EnergyManagement@sweetwaterschools.org with your request.

Of note is the reminder to unplug electrical appliances prior to the break. Our Energy Specialists will be conducting energy audits to confirm conservation participation at the site and classroom level during the break. To assist in this endeavor, our Energy Specialists forwarded the attached Summer Break Shut Down Checklist for teachers and staff.

Thank you!
