Ms. Alston's Class Newsletter
February 5, 2021
Happy February!!! We have lots of upcoming events this month.
5/6 grade Battle of the Books District Competition is Wednesday, February 10. Our team this year is Christabelle Minke, Daniel Christ, Bryce Hagge and Lily High.
Friday, February 12, we will have a class Valentines Exchange and party. I will be sending a class list home Monday, February 8. If your family would like to send in a treat, juice box, or healthy snack for our party, please email me. All treats must be pre-packaged. Thanks!
Wednesday, February 17 is an Early Release Day at 1:15pm.
February 18 and 19 are Student-led Parent/Teacher Conferences. Invitations for conference times, which will be held either in-person or over Zoom, will be sent home next week. Please respond back if the time schedule works for your family, or let me know if you need to reschedule for a different time. The invitation will have more details about protocols for in-person conferences.
Make sure your child is prepared for the cold weather as he/she will be again going outside daily. Students and staff will be wearing masks inside the building and also, while we are in the Red Risk Level, wearing masks during recess and PE. The school is asking families to send in 2 or 3 masks daily with students. We plan on having students take off the wet/dirty masks after recess and replace with a dry, clean one.
