Wrestling Update:
Wednesday night Wayne County wrestling fell short against state-contending #3 Glynn Academy and a tough Pierce County team with a score of 56-6 and 54-30. Dawsyn Sikes (215) led the night for the Yellow Jackets with 2 pinfalls in both of his matches. Tristan Yarbrough (106), Jayden Leak (120), and Landen Himes (150) picked up a victory by pinfall in the night as well.
This weekend a lot of wrestling is happening as the Lady Jackets are traveling to Cook High School this Friday to compete in the Hornet Girls Scramble Tournament and the Varsity Boys are traveling to Effingham County High School Friday and Saturday to compete in the 23rd Rebel Invitational. Come out and support your Wayne County Wrestlers as area and region opponents will be in attendance.
