"Rise Up: The Art of Protest" - 6th Grade Music Project
After analyzing and discussing some of the images from "Rise Up: The Art of Protest," the students in Mr. Donlin's 6th grade music classes are creating projects using a program called Soundtrap to create music to accompany quotes from people they see as leaders in social justice work. Take a listen below to some of the projects:

Free Flu Shots
The Chicago Department of Public Health (CDPH) is hosting over 50 community flu clinics where Chicago residents can get their annual flu shot at no cost regardless of their immigration status. If you have insurance, please bring a copy of your insurance card. Walk-ins are welcome and the pre-registration page is coming soon to the site linked above.
Resources from Chicago Public Library
Explore CPL's online resources for kids by taking part in monthly Learning Journey activities. Kids and tweens who complete at least 4 activities will be entered to win a special prize! https://www.chipublib.org/learningjourney
Brainfuse provides live online homework help every day from 11 a.m. - 11 p.m. (available in English and Spanish). There's also a writing lab where students can submit and receive feedback on essays. Students will need a CPL library card or eCard to access these free online resources.
