Definition: Copyrighted work that you can copy and share for free for a limited amount of time. If you want the whole thing you have to pay.
Examples: free trials and lite apps.

Definition: Only allows to purchase to use the software according to the details spelled out in the license agreement.
Examples: Software you can buy at Best Buy or similar stores

Definition: Software that comes with a source code that lets users add on to their work with different add ons.
