Wanting something to eat? Try this sweet treat called called Roscone. It is very similar to a U.S. doughnut. It's a bun that is filled wit guava jelly and sprinkled with sugar. In colombia you can also expect to have a lot of rice, meat, and soups in your colombian meals.

Whats the weather like in Bogota?

Colombia is close to the equator so the climate is warm. If you are going to the costal areas then you can expect to have a tropical climate depending on where you are planning to be. On average it rains 10 days a month in the summer. But like any other place in the world it can rain any time of the year.

When you go to Bogota you will have lots of choices of things to do. You can go to museums like the Colonial Museum that has artifacts and works of art from historical artists. You can also take a tour of the city and see all the beautiful scenery.

Did you know that Colombia is the only country in latin america that is named after Christopher columbus? It also has one of the oldest museums on the american continent. It is called Museo del oro (Gold Museum). It has the most important metal works in the world.

The language that the people of Bogota speak is spanish. The people in Bogota also speak some english so you can get some help if you need it.

Then check out Cathedral Prima de Colombia. It was built on the same property as the first church which was built in 1593. The Cathedral Primada de colombia opened in 1823.
