Help Us Win $10,000!
We have the opportunity to win a $10,000 grant from the Arlington Tomorrow Foundation on September 17, North Texas Giving Day! The non-profit showing the most “spirit” during the Arlington Gives! Rally from 12-1 at the Levitt Pavilion wins the prize. We plan to take our students to the event, wearing their lime green Gators t-shirts. If your student doesn’t have a lime green Gator shirt, one may be purchased through the office. Make plans now to spend your lunch hour with us that day and help us win. Each family member or volunteer who attends and has RSVP’d by today will receive a free t-shirt made especially for this event. Please call the office today, September 8, to let us know you’ll be there and your t-shirt size.
North Texas Giving Day
North Texas Giving Day, which is next Thursday, September 17, is a vitally important day for Green Oaks School. It is the kick-off for our annual fund campaign. We are hoping to raise over $30,000 on that one day. Please consider how you can be involved! Watch your email for ideas on how you can help.
After Care will now take place in a classroom instead of the Cafetorium. Please check in at the office to pick up your student.
Special Olympics Bowling
We are exploring the possibility of participating in Special Olympics Bowling. If your student is interested in participating in Special Olympics Bowling, please email firstname.lastname@example.org by this Friday, September 12. To participate, your bowler must have an up to date medical form on file or a new one submitted by next Tuesday, September 15. Bowlers will be assigned a competition day between Wednesday, November 4 and Saturday, November 7. If we decide to participate, families will be responsible for taking bowlers to the competition themselves.
