Job Description


The role as Chief Guardian of the Economy deals with unemployment, high prices, taxes, business profits. The President doesn't run the economy, he is supposed to look over it and make sure it runs smoothly. The President will meet with economic advisors as well as will business and labor leaders under this role. The president as Chief Guardian of the Economy is expected to work to solve unemployment rates, low income families, and high prices/taxes. While the president does not have control of the economy he/she is expected to help it run smoothly and help the country steer away from any recession or depression. The President has a key role in directing fiscal policy (taxes/spending)
