Message from the office.

Hello BCE Community

Overall, we had a great first 2 days. Day one was filled with smiles, a warm welcome, and no power :) We have an excellent maintenance department that supported us with a generator for lunch, and we had fun learning by lanterns for parts of the day. On day 2, we had a great time learning the BCE way and an unexpected fire drill. We had an issue with a sensor in our science lab. We thank Boulder Creek Fire Department and our maintenance department for coming to the rescue. The students and teachers were exceptional, and everyone responded well to the alarm. Thank you, BCE staff, for always working hard to ensure all of our safety protocols are followed.

Thank you to all the families that have come to say hello, introduce themselves, and see all our students' smiling faces. Also, thank you to the parent club for putting on a tremendous welcome-back coffee.

We look forward to seeing everyone at Back to School Night on 8/25. Please see the schedule below. Please remember this is a student-free event. It is a time for parents to learn from teachers what to expect throughout the year. The parent club will also have a table to sign up to volunteer. Please take a moment to check it out. All of you volunteering, are what makes this school run so well :)

As always, please let us know if you need anything.

Mrs. Fippin and Office Staff

Drop off and Pick Up

A few reminders about drop-off and pick-up.

  • Make sure to wait for the crossing guard to tell you to cross
  • Do not go through a stop sign until the crossing guard has told you to do so.
  • Make sure you are using the crosswalks at all times
  • If you are dropping off your student, please make sure they get out of the car on the side with a sidewalk or by the bushes. Please DO NOT let them out on the cross-traffic side of the car.
  • If you are going to be on campus before 2:35 for pick-up, please check in at the office and get a visitor sticker.
  • There is no parent parking on campus. Please find parking throughout the neighborhood.

If you drop off at YMCA before 8, you may park in the bus zone for your quick drop-off. We do not have supervision for students before 8:10. Please do not leave your students before 8:10 unattended. Staff will be out and about to help and ensure everyone is safe.

COVID Updates- Please see new links

COVID protocols will be much like last spring. While positive cases in our county have been on an upswing, we hope COVID becomes a minor issue as we move forward with the school year.

Schools will again follow the guidance and direction of County Public Health and the County Office of Education.

If your student feels ill, please keep them home and get tested. Please look for more information in the Superientants back-to-school letter. More information to come, and thank you for being flexible and looking out for all of our health

I wanted to ensure you got the information from the district office regarding General COVID information. Please contact the health office if you have any questions or need any home COVID tests. We have plenty in the office. I also want to ensure all families receive the General COVID exposure notice. Please let us know if you have any questions.

Lost and Found and extra clothes

We will have the lost and found near the water fountain by the MU. When you are on campus, please take a minute to locate your missing items.

A reminder to send extra clothes for our littlest ones on campus. We have had several accidents and the need for an extra change of clothes.
