Saturday Event at Miramar College April 6
San Diego Miramar College Outreach is hosting a Super Saturday: April 6th from 9:00am – 12:00pm for new and continuing students! The event will be held at Miramar College in the M-Building.
Students will have the opportunity to complete the following:
- Complete the Financial Aid Application (FAFSA/Dream Act)
- Students will learn how to select courses for their first semester with Counseling
- Academic Career Pathways and Program Mapper
- Complete the San Diego Promise Application
- Assistance with questions related to Admissions & Records
Students will need to have a Miramar College application on file and completion of the New Student Orientation prior to attending a Super Saturday!

Join us on Tuesday, April 16th at 6pm at the Poway Center for the Performing Arts (PCPA) to learn how parents/guardians can help your student prepare for college admissions and finding the right college fit. Don't miss this event!
PUSD High School Students Opportunity April 26
[UCSD EDGE] Girl's Day Out RSVP - April 27th
UCSD EDGE, a mentorship program led by the Society of Women Engineers and Women in Computing at UC San Diego will be hosting an event of the year, Girl's Day Out, on April 27th, from 9am - 3:15pm pm. Girl's Day Out is a day-long event on UCSD campus in which high school female and non-binary high school students from the San Diego area will have the opportunity to take part in hands-on workshops to build their own projects!
These projects are focused on providing students with the ability to explore computing, engineering, and other STEM concepts through various workshops that will be led by UCSD’s very own professors and student-run engineering organizations (as well as Code with Her, a nonprofit company focused on providing coding courses to girls in the San Diego area). We are asking students to arrive at 8:40am so that we can start the event at 9. Lunch will be provided!

What is EDGE?
Empowerment & Development for Girls in Engineering (EDGE)Links to an external site. is a mentorship program led by the Society of Women Engineers and Women in Computing at UC San Diego. Our mission is to encourage more high school girls to consider STEM-related careers in order to bridge the gender gap in engineering fields. This program will provide opportunities to network with undergraduate women in engineering and computer science fields at UCSD, as well as provide various workshops and events to foster interest in a wide variety of STEM fields.

Miramar College Promise ApplicationPalomar Promise Program Information
The Palomar Promise program is a comprehensive student success program geared towards increasing the college-going and completion rates of first-time college students and helping to ensure their success. The Palomar Promise offers up to two years of free tuition (fall/spring), textbook assistance, and access to specialized academic and career planning with related support services to first-time college students who meet the eligibility requirements. Palomar Promise is funded using a combination of state, federal and local funding resources.

The Western Association for College Admission Counseling (WACAC) is pleased to announce college fairs in California and Nevada for high school students, their parents, and high school counselors. All of WACAC’s fairs are FREE to attend and include FREE parking. Come speak to representatives from over 100 colleges from all around the world. Learn more about everything that the schools have to offer so that you can find your best-fit school.
Prior to attending a WACAC College Fair, students and parents should register for a barcode at www.StriveFair.com. Show your barcode to colleges who will scan it to easily get your information and send you more details about their school, the application process, financial aid, and important deadlines. A pass is not required to attend all college visits during lunch, but a pass is required for college visits during class time. Please sign up as your pass, and it is important that you obtain teacher permission to attend any of the visits during class time. Teachers can refuse permission to attend if a test or quiz is scheduled at the same time. If you are unable to attend and wish to get information from the college

Join them for their free CSU College Nights to meet with campus representatives and learn about how to get ready for college. All events are free and open to any high school or community college student, returning student or adult learner. Parents, guardians, family members and educators are encouraged to attend and witness the start of your future with the CSU.
At a CSU College Night you will:
- Meet and make connections with representatives from all 23 CSU campuses.
- Learn how to best prepare for CSU freshman and transfer admissions
- Receive tips on completing your Cal State Apply application
